Description
La Colección CDS (también conocida como el Herbario) fue formalizada en 1994, y ha estado funcionando desde los años iniciales de la Fundación. Es hogar de más que 45000 especímenes de plantas vasculares y no vasculares, así como de organismos que se asemejan a las plantas como líquenes, algas y hongos, con casi 1,000 especímenes nuevos añadidos cada año. Casi 80% de los especímenes en la colección son plantas vasculares, el resto 20% son criptógamas (las plantas no vasculares y organismos que se asemejan a las plantas). La mayoría de especímenes en el Herbario son de organismos nativos de las Islas Galápagos, sin embargo, el Herbario también incluye especies invasoras e introducidas los cuales son ahora parte de la flora de las Islas.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 24,603 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
