Description
Considerando que la población de manta rayas que visitan las aguas cercanas a la isla de La Plata y el Bajo de Copé, es una de las pocas que pueden ser predecibles mundialmente, esto representa una oportunidad para estudiar esta especie, y puede ayudar a obtener muchos datos únicos y esto puede marcar el inicio de una nueva campaña para conservar y proteger esta especie, no solo en el Ecuador sino también a nivel regional y mundial, así como en sitios en donde no se tiene la oportunidad de estudiarlas con frecuencia.
Este recurso comparte la información del marcaje y movimientos de 15 individuos de Mobula birostris.
